This Website

All prices on this website are in British Pounds Sterling. Please note: I believe my prices to be fair, so please DO NOT ask for so-called 'best price' or a reduction. I am here to make a living, not act as a charity. Those who are genuinely in the numismatic trade may be given a small “discount” where my margin permits – by genuine dealers I mean those whose sole source of income is through trading full-time in numismatics. Prices may be revised (upwards) from time to time.

Images on this website are not to scale: the diameter of each medal is given in the full description, and customers are requested to contact me if they need to know the size of any particular coin.

The Medals Archive section is a record of some medals which have been sold through this site in the past. They are no longer for sale.

All items on this website are guaranteed to be genuine and as described. I believe my grading to be accurate and prices to be fair. Sometimes I see websites with grading which is quite frankly deceitful, and prices which beggar belief. You will not find such here.

Orders may be placed by e-mail, telephone, or post. E-mail orders will be acknowledged, usually within 24 hours.

Payment
Payment is preferred in British Pounds (GBP), and clients are requested to pay with a GBP cheque drawn on a United Kingdom bank. Most overseas banks can arrange a draft cheque for a small fee. Cheques should be made payable to Charles Riley. Clients unknown to me must wait ten working days for their cheques to clear, unless suitable trade references can be provided, after which their goods will be sent. Alternatively non-British clients may pay via the Paypal system, although this will entail a 4% surcharge on my invoice to cover Paypal fees. Please contact me if you require further information. Finally, I will accept US Dollar personal checks, and some other currencies, but subject to a surcharge to cover my bank's fees. Overall there is a 2% fee plus an additional £6 for sums less than £100, and £9 for sums £100 or more. Exchange rates are fixed at the time of purchase agreement, with reference to the kitco.com exchange rate website. I ask that buyers send their foreign cheques/ checks within two days of agreement to purchase, to minimise the effects of exchange rate fluctuation between purchase agreement and banking the cheque. Once payment has been received, the item(s) will be removed from the For Sale sections of the website. Finally, I will only accept payment for gold items by means of a bank transfer (details on request).

Postage and Despatch

Items sent overseas are sent by International Signed-for (International signed-for or Airsure for USA and Canada). Items sent within the United Kingdom are sent by Special Delivery. On my invoice there will be a small additional charge for this based on cost. As a guide the standard cost based on a single item will be in the region of £7 to £12 depending on destination and weight.

Items will be despatched as soon as payment has cleared.

If customers require a different method of despatch this can be arranged subject to confirmation of the additional cost (to be borne by the purchaser).

Insurance in transit
Items are insured against loss in transit. The cost of insurance is included in the postage charge.

Return of Goods and Refunds
Items may be returned within ten days of receipt for any reason, provided they are returned in the same condition as when they were sent. A full refund for the cost of the item (i.e. net of the original postage cost) will be given by GBP cheque.

Governing Law
The sale and purchase of items for sale through this website will be governed by the laws of England and Wales in force from time to time.
