Obv: bust of Queen Victoria left, surrounded by allegorical figures of Genius, Justice, Truth, Science, Fame and Time, Time holding a shield named (Harriette Bradford 1861, Stage XIVa)

 

 

Condition: Good very fine; Diameter: 145mm

Notes: Awarded in the annual National Competition of the students of all the art schools in the UK between 1857 and 1865, the medal is the highest prize for success in art given by the Science and Art Dept of the Committee of Council on Education.
