Rev: statue of a lion seated left, ‘twin towers’ of Wembley Stadium beyond

 

 

Condition: Good extremely fine; Diameter: 51mm

Notes: This colossal exhibition showcased the trade of the countries in eth British Empire. The Empire Stadium became Wembley Stadium after the exhibition ended, and was used as the home of English football until 2002 (when a new stadium was built on the same site). 27 million people visited the Exhibition.
