Victoria, Coronation 1838, white metal medal by C Davis, rare, in later ebonised frame

 

Obv: bust of Victoria left, hair in a chignon

Rev: Victoria enthroned on a dais being crowned attended by Britannia and five other allegorical figures, British lion and cornucopiae in front of her, fame and a putto above

 

Condition: a nice Good very fine, reverse better

Diameter: 65mm

Notes: The ebony frame has a small hole at 12 o’clock on the reverse, so wall hanging should be possible. It also has, faintly scratched on the reverse, WALLI FECIT 1947, which presumably dates the frame.
