Rev: VELUTI IN SPECULUM (As though in a mirror) and year within laurel and palm wreath

 

 

Condition: Good very fine; Diameter: 54mm,

Notes: George Cooke (1756-1812) led a chaotic life and was an alcoholic. He died in New York during the 1812 war and is buried in the historic St Paul’s churchyard there, near the new Freedom Tower.
