Rev: Britannia and Hibernia standing facing, clasping hands, JUNGUNTUR OPES FIRMATUR IMPERIUM around (Their resources are united, the Kingdom is strengthened), in exergue the date I JAN MDCCCI (1st January 1801)

Notes: the Act had been passed in 1800, coming into force on New Year's Day 1801. Ireland remained part of the United Kingdom until twenty-six of the 32 counties gained independence in 1922.
