Condition: Good very fine; Diameter: 60mm

 

 

Notes: This medal was struck by the Paris Mint, this particular medal probably about 1900. The Medical School was (until 1999) on London’s Millbank next to the Tate Gallery. Nathaniel Montefiore (1819-1883), surgeon, was from the well-known Jewish family. He trained at Guy's Hospital and devoted much of his life to charitable causes, often with a Jewish connection.
