Obv: Naked Truth standing on a snake, opens the door in a plinth to reveal a Jesuit priest supports Prince James on a cushion, who crowns himself

 

Rev: Trojan Horse, Troy burning in the distance

 

 

Condition: Extremely fine; Diameter: 56mm

Notes: struck in the Protestant Netherlands as a warning, prescient as it happened when one thinks of the Jacobite troubles to come. Prince James became known to history as ‘The Old Pretender’.
