Rev: TUNEL TRANSANDINO MARCAPOMACOCHA / ALTURA 4,330m.s.n.m. LONGITUD 10122m.l./ INICIADO 15-XII-1957/ TERMINADO 5-IX-1962 in 8 lines
Condition: about extremely fine; Diameter: 60mm
Notes: The incuse nature of the tunnel receding into the medal is ingenious, especially for a struck medal. The tunnel itself is six miles long and is the highest in the world, conveying water from Lake Marcapomacocha for use in electrohydraulic power stations.
