Obv: laureate bust of Napoleon right
Rev: Vibilia seated by the seashore, her hand resting on a mountain, one foot on the road and the other in the sea
Condition: Good extremely fine; Diameter: 41mm

Notes: the road was begun in 1807 and was a coastal route to avoid the mountains, which were impassable in winter. Vibilia was the goddess of the ways and the reverse is based on a denarius of Trajan. The medal was struck in 1813.
